About the service
Walking Loops supports quick, informed route planning across the MSU campus.
The application helps students, faculty, staff and visitors compare predefined walking routes, review estimated walking time and understand how current closure areas may affect each path.
What you can do
- Browse route names, distance and walking time in an accessible list-first layout.
- Filter loops by route name or nearby building and review every route from the list-first interface.
- Review active closure areas intersecting a route before selecting it on the map.
History
Mapping walking loops began as part of the MSU Health4U initiative and continues as a campus wellness resource.
Development
This application uses the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and a buildless static front end maintained by Spatial Data Management.
